Whoever invented mornings needs to spend a few minutes in a dark alley with me...... Have I ever mentioned that my morning coffee mug is one of those machined aluminum ones? The kind that can take being gnawed on and heaved across the room when necessary.
On a brighter note... I baked a spice cake before bed last night, so we'd have it for breakfast this morning. That is luxury... a preloaded coffee maker and fresh spice cake with raisins to accompany for wakers.
The store... I woke up thinking about the $%#@$# place. Tomorrow we begin late hours, as we are taking back the 'ghost tour' business. This is a little hard to explain, but it means we'll be selling tickets and helping arrange nightly walking tours of the town. I've been on two... and they were worth both time and money. From my viewpoint, it means 10-12 hour work days for a while.
Once school begins (the end of August) I can only put in evenings and Saturdays at the store. Still haven't found anyone who can do days full time... and the mean old fart really isn't up to it, even if it is his store. He'd spend more time arguing with people than doing business.... as he does now if I'm not there to rein him in. This is what wakes me up early each morning.... how to deal with this problem for him, and despite him. I have faith that it will work out... but the faith is getting stretched thin.
Yes... this is 'me' blogging....... I think I warned about that in a previous post (g).
This! Exactly this!

Can you put an ad in the "Catholic Standard and Times?" They usually can help with that sort of thing. P/T caretaker...
'Tis a thought, and I shall pass it on to the cranky old fart :-)
